If your signature or avatar has not refreshed after youve uploaded and saved, dont worry it takes a while to refresh because the sites new 
EDIT: The second cause of this could be that when you picked your avatar you did not save, or that if your signature is not showing that you forgot to select the (Attach My Signature) box which is located UNDER where you type your text in when your replying to a thread, in the OPTIONS tab
